Two confirmations, written apart
After your yes, the car company sends a written confirmation for each ride, naming the pickup time and the meeting point. Because the two rides are confirmed apart from each other, moving or dropping the ride home does nothing to the ride out, and the reverse is also true. If the car company cannot take one of the two rides, it says so in the same reply that prices the other.
Money moves only between you and the car company, which drives the car, assigns the driver and collects payment for each of the two rides. Riders pay the office nothing, and the office never asks for card details at any point in the request.
